ABOUT

BRIAN ANDREW MENDOZA (BAM) love for film began while growing up in the Sierra Nevadas making snowboard and skate films on DV tape cameras. He has spent the past 20 years taking an unconventional path working with Magnum Photographer Bruce Davidson on a years spanning photo projects to co-creating a production company with Jason Momoa, On the Roam. Together, BAM and Momoa have created & produced projects in both scripted & unscripted, in both film, TV, and commercials.

Most recently BAM directed and executive produced Apple TV’s Chief of War about the unifications of the Hawaiian Islands in the late 1700’s. He co-directed two episodes and directed two episodes (including the penultimate).

Other work includes the feature film Sweet Girl which amassed 136M views on Netflix; On the Roam a cinematic unscripted series for HBOMax, and directed several national commercial campaigns for global brands like Carhartt, Guinness, and Harley-Davidson.

BAM is based in Los Angeles with his wife, son, and their dog.
